Broadly those seeking Surrogacy fall into one of the following categories.
1.    Self IVF (embryos) and Surrogacy :
In couples where the genetic mother is incapable of carrying the baby. This could be either due to absent uterus either congenital or post surgical, or due to medical illnesses, or multiple IVF failures etc when they intend to use their own eggs and sperms.

2.    Donor egg and Surrogacy :
In case of couples where the female partner is incapable of producing eggs, or if there are genetic reasons for seeking donor eggs.
