He is also the Medical Director at the Deccan Fertility Clinic & Keyhole Surgery Center, Shivaji Park, Mumbai, India. He is a noted world authority on ultrasound guided embryo transfers and and one of the pioneers in third party reproduction in South-East Asia.

He has over 100 peer-reviewed publications to his credit and is on the Editorial Board of several International Journals. Throughout his career, Dr Allahbadia has been instrumental in developing new fertility-enhancing protocols and propogating the use of ultrasound in embryo transfer procedures.
The development of a highly successful egg donation program at Rotunda has made it possible to achieve pregnancies in women who have premature ovarian failure. Dr Allahbadia was responsible for India's first trans-ethnic surrogate pregnancy involving a Chinese couple's baby delivered by an unrelated Indian surrogate mother.
He also has to his credit India's first Same-Sex Couple pregnancy and delivery of twins. At Rotunda and Deccan, patients may avail themselves of a myriad of reproductive options ranging from in vitro fertilization (IVF), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), Donor Egg IVF, ovulation induction and intrauterine insemination (IUI), to participation in one of the most successful gestational surrogacy programs in the country.
The Centers provide a full spectrum of state-of-the-art medical and surgical treatment in reproductive endocrinology and gynecology including advanced laparoscopic surgery, tubal reconstruction, and minimally invasive USG-guided therapeutic procedures. Dr Allahbadia and his world-class team of reproductive endocrinologists, embryologists, andrologists and infertility specialists have helped hundreds of couples have babies through assisted reproduction.
Dr Allahbadia has had quite a prolific career -- he has authored over 100 scientific papers, 60 book chapters and 13 textbooks, the latest of which is a comprehensive text, entitled "Embryo Transfer" available from Jaypee Medical Publishers. He now directs five franchisee satellite IVF programs in India at Jalandhar, Srinagar, Rewari, Gorakhpur and Ahmedabad. He was a lecturer for over four years at the Lokmanya Tilak Municipal Medical College followed by a 12 year tenure at the University of Mumbai affiliated Bombay Hospital Institute of Medical Sciences before going full time into private practice. He is the recipient of over 25 prizes & fellowships in the field notable among which are the Canadian Young Scientist Fellowship Award for the year 1994, which allowed him to train in Infertility at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver and the National prize Dr Kumud Tamaskar award for original research work in infertility in the year 1991. He is the recipient of six research grants from the International College of Surgeons and the Medical Research Centre of Bombay Hospital Trust.
He has been an invited guest speaker or faculty member at over 70 Congresses, Workshops and Scientific Meetings. He was awarded the prestigious Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst fellowship for the year 1996 to train in Assisted Reproductive Techniques in Germany. He has completed his training in IVF/ICSI at the University of Goettingen, Bielefeld IVF Center & the University of Munich. He was awarded the AOFOG-Young Gynecologist Award for the year 1998. He is the Web Master for the SISAB (Society of Indian Scientists Abroad) Website on the Internet (www.sisab.net). He has been awarded the most prestigious FOGSI-CORION National Research award for best original research work in Infertility at the 42nd All India Obstetric & Gynecological Congress held at Hyderabad in December 1998. He has recently been elected as the General Secretary of the World Association of Reproductive Medicine (WARM) headquartered in Rome, Italy and was the Scientific Chairman of the 2nd World Congress of WARM held in Rome in May 2004. He has organized seven International Congresses in the subject and was recently made a visiting lecturer to the University of Tel Aviv- Sackler School of Medicine - the first Indian to be given such a position.

Dr.(Mrs).Gouri Gupta, MD,DNB,FCPS,DGO
Dr.(Mrs).Gouri Gupta, MD,DNB,FCPS,DGO. joined the Rotunda team in January 2009. She has in the short span of time become an integral part in the day to day working of the centre. She did her undergraduation from the prestigious B.J .Medical College & Sassoon General Hospitals , Pune in the year 2003, following which she earned her post graduation in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the same institution in 2007 securing a Gold medal.
She is keenly interested in Assisted Reproduction, Gynaec Laproscopy and Endoscopy ( Hysteroscopy) . She is trained in Ultrasound imaging in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from Wadia Maternity Hospital, Mumbai.

Dr (Mrs)Soumya Ramesh
Dr (Mrs)Soumya Ramesh has recently joined our team at Rotunda Bandra.She completed her undergraduate studies at the prestigious K.E.M.Hospital and her postgraduation from Nowrosjee Wadia Hospital both affiliated to Mumbai University. She was a lecturer at K.J.Somaiya Hospital and her field of interest has been Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She trained in infertility at Pulse Hospital in Ahmedabad and 21st Century Hospital at Surat.
A diligent worker , she strongly believes that success depends on attention to details. She is a member of Mumbai Obstretics and Gynaecology Society and the Federation of Gynaecology Society of India.

Goral Gandhi, MSc -- Brief Biographical Sketch
Goral Gandhi is the Laboratory Director and Vice President (Operations) at Rotunda – Center for Human Reproduction and has many years of experience in the design and establishment of successful assisted conception laboratories in India, for all the franchisee centers of Rotunda Group.
Goral earned her masters in Applied Biology from the King Edward Memorial Hospital, University of Mumbai, for her research work on “ Quality Control in Laboratories”. Three months of her Research period was spent at the quality control laboratory, Hammersmith Hospital, UK. She subsequently served as a Research Fellow at the In Vitro Fertilization Laboratory of the University Hopital, Belgium and Egyptian IVF Center, Cairo, where she gained extensive experience in all ART techniques and Laboratory management.
Goral joined Rotunda – Center for Human Reproduction as Director of the IVF Laboratory in the year 2000, at the conception stage of the lab.
Over the years, Goral has successfully set up many IVF laboratories all over India for the Rotunda group, and is constantly committed to maintain Rotunda’s exceptional success rate at all the laboratories. In her 16 years career, she has handled thousands of IVF and ICSI cases.
At Rotunda, she is responsible for establishing a world class IVF laboratory. Apart from the IVF laboratory, she has many other achievements to her credit:
- Running of a world class sperm bank, catering to the needs of not only Rotunda patients but also to many IVF centers all over India
- Establishing the Rotunda Cryoship program for transport of embryos to Rotunda, which has helped realize the dreams of parenthood for many parents all around the globe.
- Responsible for ISO accreditation for the Rounda – Center for Human Reproduction, Bandra, Rotunda Fertility Clinic and Keyhole Surgery Center, Andheri and Rotunda Blue Fertuility Clinic and Keyhole Surgery Center, Dadar.
Goral regularly participates in meetings and courses conducted by ESHRE, ASRM as well as Indian Organizations. She keeps herself updated with the latest developments in the field and is responsible for standardizing the latest cutting edge technologies offered at the Rotunda lab. She has attended training programs at leading IVF centers in Belgium, Egypt, Israel, Singapore, Spain, Germany, Turkey, USA and Japan.
She has co-authored over 20 chapters in many medical text books. She has been co-author for many publications in national and international journals. She has been the Joint Organizing Secretary for seven international conferences on infertility and assisted reproduction. She has been on the Organizing Committee of four other International conferences. She has conducted several IUI training courses and is very actively involved in the Rotunda IVF fellowship programs. She has trained many junior embryologists who have now blossomed into very competent, independent embryologists.
Research Interests:
Throughout her career, Goral has been actively involved in clinical research in embryology. Her research activities are geared towards developing innovative culture and cryopreservation methodologies to improve clinical pregnancy outcomes. Current research projects are focused on egg and embryo vitrification, single sperm cryopreservation, blastocyst cultures, embryo growth and selection, and gamete/embryo micromanipulation. Having trained at the Kato Ladies Clinic, Japan for embryo and oocyte vitrification, her current passion is vitrification. She has very successfully introduced the Vitrification technique at the Rotunda Laboratory and dramatically improved Rotunda’s cryopreservation program, making it comparable to the best in the world.

Dr (Mrs) Vijaya Natarajan, MS, DGO Dr. Vijaya Natarajan is the latest addition to the Rotunda team. She has more than a year's experience in the area of infertility and assisted reproduction. She has done her MS from one of the prestigious Institutes in India - Seth G.S Medical College / KEM Hospital, Mumbai. She did her undergraduation from Karnataka Medical College, Hubli and her Ultrasound Imaging training from Wadia Maternity, Mumbai. Dr. Sneha Sathe Dr. Sneha Sathe recently joined at Rotunda as Clinical Associate. She completed the MBBS program of the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences with distinction from K.J. Somaiya Medical College Mumbai in the year 2004. Therafter she completed her Master of Surgery in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from the prestigious Manipal University with flying colours in 2008. Immediately after completing her studies she moved to Mumbai and has completed short stints at the Hinduja Hospital, Nowrosji Wadia Maternity Hospital and the Sion Hospital.
She is deeply committed to her profession and looks forward to contributing substantially in the development of the activities of the center and fulfillment of aspirations of the center’s clientele.
